Dichroic glass, invented for the aerospace industry, mimics the wonderful iridescent patina of centuries old roman glass.
This original piece of art glass was handmade in the Sunrise Glass Art studio in New York. Glass pieces were carefully cut and layered in a kiln, then fired to around 1400 degrees F. The glass was annealed in a slow cooling process for strength and durability.
